Chastity Devices Explained: Sizing for Comfort

· Shopify API

Artistic profile of a woman in a lace mask exploring sensuality, chastity devices explained: sizing for comfort

Sizing is where most chastity purchases go right or wrong. A cage that is too tight is uncomfortable and can be unsafe, while one that is too loose slips and defeats the point. Because Aftercare Co. does not accept change of mind returns on intimate products, it pays to work out your size before you order. This guide covers what to measure, how a ring and cage fit together, and what to check once the device arrives.

Why sizing matters more than the style you pick

Fit decides whether a device is wearable at all, and style comes a distant second. A chastity device has two parts that need to suit your body: the cage, which holds the penis, and the ring, which sits behind it. Each has its own measurements, and a mismatch in either one causes problems.

Aftercare Co. does not accept returns for change of mind or for an incorrect selection, because of the intimate nature of the products. The only returns covered are genuine manufacturing defects, where Aftercare Co. pays return shipping and provides a replacement or full refund, and may ask for a photo or video of the fault. So a wrong size is your cost to carry. Ten minutes with a tape measure beforehand is cheap insurance.

If you are new to the idea, the guide What is Male Chastity? A Complete Guide to Chastity Devices and Play covers the basics before you get into measurements.

What do you need to measure before buying a chastity cage?

You need three measurements: the girth of the base of your penis, the length when soft, and the width of the penis at its thickest point when soft. A soft tape measure or a strip of string and a ruler is enough.

Measure when you are relaxed and soft, since that is the state you will mostly be in while wearing a device. Take each measurement more than once, ideally on different occasions, because temperature, time of day and arousal all change the numbers. Write them down in both millimetres and inches, as many chastity products list sizes in inches.

Measure the base girth as the circumference right at the base, where the ring will sit. If you want to compare against a ring diameter, divide the circumference by roughly 3.14 to get a diameter. That is simple geometry, and it is a handy check against the ring sizes listed on a product page.

Do not measure while using any kind of pump or ring to get a bigger reading. You want an honest, resting figure.

Ring size: the part that does the real work

The ring is the part that keeps the device on, so its diameter matters most for both comfort and security. Too snug and it restricts circulation. Too loose and the device can slip off, which a chastity device should not do.

The CB6000S, for example, comes with five rings: 1 1/2 inch (38mm), 1 5/8 inch (41mm), 1 3/4 inch (44.5mm), 1 7/8 inch (48mm) and 2 inch (50mm). That spread is useful because many people do not know their exact ring size on the first order. A range lets you try a couple of options and settle on the one that sits comfortably.

A general rule of thumb: a ring should be snug enough that it cannot pass over the base and testicles when you are soft, but loose enough that you can slide a fingertip under it without effort. Skin should not look swollen, dark or cold. If you are choosing between two sizes, many wearers start with the larger and move down only if the fit is not secure, since it is easier to tighten up than to recover from a ring that was too small.

Cage length and the shorter fit

Cage length should be close to your soft length, not much longer, or the device will shift around and rub. Shorter cages hold things closer to the body, which suits people with a smaller soft length and tends to feel more secure.

The CB6000S is described as a shorter version of the CB6000, designed for improved comfort and a more restrictive, tighter or shorter length fit. Its cage length is approximately 2.5 inches (63.5mm), with an inner diameter of 1 3/8 inches (34.92mm). The standard CB6000 is also available as its own product, so if your soft length is longer, it is worth comparing the CB6000 chastity cage against the shorter model before you choose.

One trade off to know: a shorter cage can feel more intense because there is less spare room. If you are a first time wearer who sits between sizes, a bit of extra room is generally more forgiving than too little. It is your call, and it depends on how you plan to wear it and for how long.

How the CB6000S fits together, and what its specifications tell you

The CB6000S chastity cage is a good example of reading a spec list for sizing. Its page lists a cage length of approximately 2.5 inches, an inner cage diameter of 1 3/8 inches, and the five ring sizes above. It is made from medical grade polycarbonate in clear, black, pink and chrome finishes.

The design is vented for hygiene and comfort, with a bottom opening for urination. The ring uses a three piece puzzle design with an oval locking pin, and the locking system includes a brass padlock and five individually numbered plastic locks, which are made for TSA and metal detector security.

Compare the inner diameter against your measured soft width. If your width at the thickest point is close to or over 34.92mm, a cage with that inner diameter will be a tight squeeze. The listing also notes just one in stock at the time the page was read, so check availability when you are ready to order.

Checking the fit once it arrives

Do a short trial at home before you commit to wearing a device for any length of time. Orders arrive in plain, unbranded packaging, such as a standard brown box or satchel, with no mention of adult toys or the full business name on the outside, so you can have it delivered without fuss.

Start by wearing it for a short time while you are relaxed and at home. Check for these things:

  • The skin colour stays normal, with no purple, white or blotchy patches.
  • There is no numbness, tingling or coldness.
  • The device does not pinch skin at the ring or the cage edges.
  • You can urinate through the opening without trouble.
  • It stays in place when you move, sit and stand.

Wash the device before first use and after each wear, and dry it properly. Keep the key or lock details somewhere you will always find them, and never lock a device on unless you are sure you can get it off. Take the device off straight away if anything feels wrong.

When to try a different size, and when to see a doctor

Discomfort that fades when you adjust is a sizing problem. Pain, swelling, colour change or numbness that does not go away quickly is a health matter, so take the device off and see a doctor. If you have any existing medical condition, skin sensitivity or circulation issue, speak to your doctor before you start wearing a chastity device at all.

If the fit just feels off, try the next ring size up or down from the set, or consider whether a different cage length would suit your measurements better. Browse the full chastity collection to compare other cages, which list their own size details on their product pages.

If a device arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect, such as a cracked part or a faulty lock, contact support@aftercareco.com.au. Aftercare Co. may ask for a photo or video of the fault, and covers return shipping and provides a replacement or full refund. For general questions before you buy, you can also use the contact details on the site.

Frequently asked questions

Can I return a chastity device if it does not fit?

No. Change of mind returns and returns for an incorrect selection are not accepted, because of the intimate nature of the products. Genuine manufacturing defects are covered with a replacement or full refund, so measure carefully before you order.

Does free delivery apply to a single chastity cage?

Free Australian delivery applies to orders over $100. A single cage may fall under that threshold depending on what else is in your cart, and shipping is calculated at checkout. New subscribers also get 10% off a first order.

Will my order be obvious when it arrives?

No. Everything ships in plain, unbranded packaging, such as a standard brown box or satchel, with no mention of adult toys or the full business name on the outside.

How long does an order take to arrive?

Orders are processed within 5 business days, excluding weekends and Western Australian public holidays. Perth metro deliveries may arrive sooner than interstate orders once dispatched, and processing can take a little longer at Christmas and Valentine's Day.

Is the CB6000S suitable for beginners?

It comes with five ring sizes, which gives a newcomer room to find a workable fit. Whether it suits you depends on your own measurements, so compare them with the listed cage length and inner diameter, and check with your doctor first if you have any health concerns.
